RGS-IBG 2009

As usual the PyGyWG sponsored a number of sessions at the annual conference, which took place in Manchester August 2009.

This year, in an effort to be as participatory as possible, our sessions were held outside the official conference space, at the Ida Kinsey Community Centre in Ardwick. MAP

These sessions were open and free to the public, who did not need to be registered for the conference to attend.

The sessions were very well attended, by local residents and other ‘members of the public’, as well as academics, pygywg-ers and non-pygywg-ers alike!

We’ve had excellent feedback from all the sessions and are keen to run this initiative again at next year’s RGS-IBG conference … watch this space!
